FALCONER To Begin Work On New Material
August 31, 2009Guitarist Stefan Weinerhall of the Swedish metal band FALCONERhas issued the following update:
"Now as the massive world tour of 2009 is over, we will retreat and start working on new material. We have a clear idea of the direction. It will be something different from what we usually do. It's not gonna be different enough to change the band name but probably different enough to annoy some. But then again, that always happens anyway."
"Carnival Of Disgust", the latest video from FALCONER, can be viewed below. The clip, which was shot at the medieval Vadstena castle on a windy and cold April day, "exceeds [all] expectations," according to a press release. The song comes off the band's most recent album, "Among Beggars And Thieves", which was released in August 2008 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Sonic Train Studio in Varberg, Sweden. 13 songs were mixed during the sessions, including two bonus tracks for the LP's first edition.
FALCONER in 2007 extended its deal with Metal Blade for another four albums.
